Phrase for the day – ‘Rooey Bastard’

/roo-ee bas-tard/

Noun: A person who tries to act, dress or look like a country person – but is not. These people are easily recognised by the flags and Bundaberg Rum stickers plastered on their utes. Rooey bastards are usually only seen at alcohol licenced events such as B’n’S Balls, and rodeos. Never seen near an honest hard day’s work. Often on Centrelink payments.

Here for the fun and the rum.
Unfortunately, this gentleman’s hat is too battered (indicating work) and doesn’t have ear tags or bottle caps stuck around it, so he is not a prime example.. But you catch my drift?
